Exposure: Taken 5-20-04. At the Texas Star Party.
1 X 45 min. on hypered Tech Pan through a yellow filter.
Processing: Levels, curves adjusted in Photoshop. 
Equipment: Orion 120 ST f/5 refractor.
Yellow filter.
Losmandy G-11 Gemini mount.
SBIG ST-4 and Orion 80 ED + 2X barlow used for a guidescope.
Notes: Dark Nebula are clouds of dust that obscure the stars behind them.
Many of the dark nebula carry a starting designation with the letter 'B'.
This refers to Edwin Barnard, an early astrophotographer who cataloged them.
The dark spot to the right of the Snake is B68.
Below that are B69/70 and B74.
